Police Property Act Fund

About the Police Property Act Fund

The Police Property Act Fund is created from the sale of recovered stolen property where the owners are not known and cannot be traced.

The Durham Police and Crime Commissioner and Chief Constable have agreed a scheme to consider applications for funds that are surplus once they have made donations to the following organisations:

  • Northern Police Convalescent Home
  • Crimestoppers
  • Victim Support
  • Durham Agency Against Crime

The Police and Crime Commissioner, the Chief Constable and the Panel will consider applications from local voluntary and community groups which are working for charitable purposes to improve the lives of people in County Durham and Darlington.
