Personnel Policies

The majority of policies applicable to staff employed by the ODPCVC are those of Durham Constabulary. Details of the number of staff employed and the diversity data can be found here.

Legally Qualified Chairs 

Since 1 April 2016, Police Misconduct Panels must be chaired by someone who is legally qualified. A list of suitable persons must be maintained by the PCC.

In November / December 2015, the Police and Crime Commissioner’s office carried out a recruitment process with open competition, alongside the other PCC Offices for the North East, Yorkshire and the Humber.
