Legally Qualified Chairs
Since 1 April 2016, Police Misconduct Panels must be chaired by someone who is legally qualified. A list of suitable persons must be maintained by the PCC.
In November / December 2015, the Police and Crime Commissioner’s office carried out a recruitment process with open competition, alongside the other PCC Offices for the North East, Yorkshire and the Humber.
