Durham PCC attends StreetPact in Stanley
Ron Hogg, Police and Crime Commissioner for Durham joined Stanley Neighbourhood Policing Team at a StreetPact in Stanley Town Centre on Thursday 11 July.
Officers in North Durham are now taking their crime-fighting to the community with a mobile police station. The StreetPact scheme enables policing teams to spend time out and about in different neighbourhoods and have more direct contact with residents.
Commenting on the visit, Ron said:
“I was pleased to have been invited along to StreetPact on Thursday, it is an excellent initiative and will be a vital way of driving down crime and anti-social behaviour in the area and also help to increase public confidence in the police.
It was fantastic to see the police, local councillors and other agencies interacting with residents and working together to tackle local issues”.
