Durham Commissioner visits Chester le Street
Ron Hogg, Durham’s Police and Crime Commissioner visited Chester le Street this week to meet with members of the public, giving them the opportunity to raise any community safety issues with him whilst doing their shopping. He was accompanied by PC 1869 Claire TREWICK (Town Beat Officer) and PCSO 6389 Christine TAYLOR (Town PCSO).
Mr Hogg said:
“I am keen to meet and listen to as many people as possible and I have been pleased at the amount of residents that have stopped to chat with me and it has given them to opportunity to raise any policing or community safety concerns that they may have.
Meeting with people in busy shopping areas has proved popular with residents in the past. I will be arranging more events like this in the future, in town centre areas and at local shops, this will give more people a chance to speak with me personally and have their say on policing and crime”.
