PCC Ron Hogg addresses issues with Durham City Liaison Group
Ron Hogg, Durham's Police and Crime Commissioner, chaired a City Liaison Group earlier this week. The purpose of these meetings will be to enhance relationships between Durham University and the community.
This Liaison Group will be Chaired by the Police and Crime Commissioner and will attended by representatives from Durham University, Durham County Council, Local Councillors, Police, Students’ Union, City residents, businesses, student landlords and their agents.
Professor Christopher F. Higgins, Vice-Chancellor and Warden of Durham University said:
“The new City Liaison Group Forum, under the independent Chairmanship of the Police Commissioner Ron Hogg, provides an effective means by which all of us who care for this City to meet and share information and ideas, bringing together a wide range of community stakeholders, including the University and its student representatives, for the benefit of community relations and the future development of Durham City”
Mr Hogg, Police and Crime Commissioner said:
“I am keen to use this forum as an excellent opportunity to discuss issues and promote good community relations. I have strong expectations that it will proactively address any concerns expressed by the residential community”
