PCC discusses internet safety with Yr7 pupils
Secondary school pupils at Shotton Hall Academy in Peterlee met with Police and Crime Commissioner Ron Hogg, and a local PCSO, on Tuesday this week. The following article, courtesy of Shotton Hall Academy, was added to their wesite following Mr Hogg's visit to the school:
Today we welcomed two very important visitors to the academy to talk to our students about how important it is to stay safe on the Internet.
Ronald Hogg, the Durham Police and Crime Commissioner, and Sharon Bowman, a Police Community Support Officer spoke to our Year 7 students to open their eyes to the dangers of the internet.
Team Potential also got the opportunity to talk to both our special guests as they enjoyed breakfast together – see picture above.
Huge thanks to Ronald and Sharon for giving up their time to come to the academy, we hope to see you again soon!
