Local people and Police, Crime and Victims’ Commissioner Ron Hogg took advantage of the good weather to help spruce up the streets of Horden this week. There was a good turn-out of volunteers of all ages, including members of the Horden Youth Citizens project, working in the numbered streets close to Cotsford Junior School.
Ron Hogg said “There is a really strong sense of community in this area, and it’s great to see everybody doing their bit to keep the place tidy and safe for children to play in.” Darren Meadows, manager of Helping Hands & working in partnership with the Horden Youth Citizens Project, added “I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who gave their time today”.
