A primary school student from Wingate has been picked as the winner of the Office of Durham Police, Crime & Victims’ Commissioner Christmas card competition.
Year four pupil Hazel Jones, who attends Wingate Primary School has won the annual competition.
This year there were over 300 entries to the competition from schools and pupils across County Durham and Darlington.
The standard of entries was extremely high, and the choice made by Steve White, Acting Durham Police, Crime and Victims’ Commissioner was exceptionally difficult.
The design has been printed and is the official Christmas card for the office this year, that will be used and sent to colleagues across the country.
Steve White, Acting Durham Police, Crime & Victims’ Commissioner said “Congratulations to Hazel for her festive and colourful design. With so many brilliant entries this year it was very hard to pick a winner. Thanks to everyone who took part in schools across County Durham and Darlington”.
A selection of design entries will be uploaded on our website, however with so many to choose from we unfortunately cannot upload all entries.
Thank you again to all pupils that took part in the competition and we look forward to hosting the competition again next year.
