HMICFRS Inspections

Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services (HMICFRS) Inspections

Ron Hogg, PCVC

Police forces across England and Wales regularly receive inspections from Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire & Rescue Services (HMICFRS).

Inspections of police forces occurs via the Integrated PEEL Assessment – more detail of which can be found on the HMICFRS website. Periodically, the Inspectorate also publishes national reports on particular themes, and undertakes joint inspections (with other inspectorates) of how the police and partner organisations work in particular areas.

Similarly, further details of inspections Durham Constabulary has received can be located on HMICFRS’s profile page for Durham Constabulary, here.

The list in the table below shows the Durham Police, Crime and Victims' Commissioner's responses to recent HMICFRS inspection reports.
