A survey launched for members of the public to share their views about local policing in County Durham and Darlington has been extended.

Joy Allen, Police and Crime Commissioner is reminding residents, businesses, community, and voluntary sector organisations to share their views as she begins to develop a new Police and Crime Plan for the Force Area.

Once fully developed, the Plan will set out the policing and crime priorities for the next three years.

PCC Joy Allen said: “Throughout my campaign, I spent a lot of time reaching out and listening to the people of County Durham and Darlington on their priorities when it comes to local policing.

“From these discussions as well as my Crime Survey I conducted last year, several priority areas emerged which I have captured in my Police and Crime Plan including anti-social behaviour, road safety and drug use and dealing.

“Your voice is extremely important to me, I want to hear your views as well as any local concerns about crime and disorder in your neighbourhood you may have.

“I would be grateful to residents, business owners, community and voluntary sector organisations across County Durham and Darlington to take the time to complete my survey and have your say on what matters most in your community.”

The Commissioner’s survey has been extended until 2 September 2021. A link to the survey can be found here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/VS3KTX9
