Within the Durham Police and Crime Commissioner's Office we work in partnership with various organisations and charities to achieve our goals.

Partnership working is at the heart of everything the Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) does.
No single organisation can tackle the complex problems facing our communities or meet the challenges of policing and community safety alone. By working collaboratively, partners across County Durham and Darlington can deliver on both the shared vision and the priorities in the Police, Crime and Justice Plan to ensure that effective and efficient solutions can be found to tackle these problems. There is a strong history of partnership working across County Durham and Darlington with a range of partners including local authorities, all emergency services, criminal justice partners, health services and voluntary and community sector organisations. This collaborative approach has delivered positive outcomes for local communities, helping to ensure County Durham and Darlington remain among the safest places to live and work in the UK.
The PCC works closely with both Durham County Council and Darlington Borough Council through established local Strategic structures including Community Safety Partnerships and Health and Wellbeing Boards to ensure the Police, Crime and Justice Plan priorities are met.
Both Local Authorities within the Constabulary area have an overall partnership which is underpinned by a series of thematic groups including those for Community Safety (The Safe Durham Partnership and Darlington Community Safety Partnership). The Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) works with a variety of partners in both the public and voluntary and Community Sectors.
