Below outlines the processes of how the Police and Crime Commissioner holds the force to account.
As part of holding the Chief Constable to account, the PCC has a duty to monitor police performance. Accordingly, the PCC publishes a quarterly public performance report, structured around the outcomes and key performance questions in their Police and Crime Commissioner’s Plan.
The report helps the public to have a greater understanding of how the PCC fulfils the scrutiny part of their role, while giving residents a greater understanding of how their local police force is performing.
The list in the table below shows the Durham Police and Crime Commissioner’s recent performance reports.
